Powassan Voodoos unbeaten streak reaches 26

POWASSAN — Although they haven’t lost in 2017 the Powassan Voodoos’ winning streak is over.

After defeating Cochrane 4-3 on Friday night and shutting out Iroquois Falls 3-0 on Saturday, Powassan played their way to a hard fought 2-2 tie on Sunday afternoon in Kirkland Lake.

While it wasn’t a loss, the tie effectively ended the Voodoos’ winning streak at 25-games.

Powassan started the new year with a rough stretch of road games on the schedule. With three games on three consecutive nights in Cochrane, Iroquois Falls and Kirkland Lake the Voodoos managed to scrounge out five of a possible six points.
